The WordPress plugin Ultimate Member is prone to multiple
critical privilege escalation vulnerabilities.
The following flaws exist:
- unauthenticated privilege escalation via User Meta
- unauthenticated privilege escalation via User Roles
- authenticated privilege escalation via Profile Update
Successful exploitation would allow originally unauthenticated users
to escalate their privileges with some conditions. Once an attacker has elevated access to a WordPress
site, they can potentially take over the entire and further infect the site with malware.
WordPress Ultimate Member plugin through version 2.1.11.
Update to version 2.1.12 or later.
