Western Digital My Cloud devices are prone to an authentication bypass vulnerability.
Western Digital WD My Cloud devices embed the session token (aka PHPSESSID) in filenames,
which makes it easier for attackers to bypass authentication by listing a directory.
Western Digital My Cloud devices with firmware versions 03.x and 04.x.
No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this
vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable
respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
