on the web. The tool is determined by examining the web page
meta tag 'generator'. Readers are cautioned that not all authoring
packages insert their name in this meta tag, and as such may not
be picked up in this survey.
The May survey is based on a sample size of 1,375,965 pages downloaded from200,033 sites We detected authoring tool usage on71,666 sites (35.83% of all sites visited).
