Die folgende Tabelle zeigt den Gebrauch von Hilfsmitteln zum Verfassen von Intenet Seiten (kurz Authoring Tool genannt). Das verwendete Programm wird anhand des Meta-Tags 'generator' auf der jeweiligen Web Seite identifiziert. Der Leser sei darauf hingewiesen, dass nicht jedes Authoring Tool seinen Namen in diesem Meta-Tag hinterlässt und damit von einer solchen Untersuchung nicht erfasst werden kann.
Die Untersuchung von September basiert auf einer Stichprobe von 7,518,982 Seiten, die von 925,231 Sites heruntergeladen wurden. Wir konnten auf 230,697 (24.93% der Sites den Gebrauch eines Authoring Tools feststellen).
